Sunshine and fresh air in the Chamonix valley makes everybody happy.

Today I went to Le Tour ski area, and the sun was out, with a bit of warmth, despite the temperatures being still pretty cold. Starting out at the gondola at Le Tour village, I was surrounded by different nationalities - Irish, British, Swedish, French, Russian, and even Australian. This truly is a multi-cultural valley.

There was no wind on the chairlift today, but it looks like it was windy there yesterday, as the snow had been a bit moved around a bit. The pistes are looking and feeling great, with not many icy patches, and the off-piste is smooth.

On the back side I passed through some beautiful tree-lined runs, back to the chairlift, and the sun was reaching around a little more now that the days are getting longer. The skiing was silky smooth, and fast, and it wasn't very busy.
