Avalanche in Montroc: there may be one victim

Yesterday afternoon the men of PGHM of Chamonix (High Mountain Rescue) were alerted by a testimony. An avalanche had just started in the sector of Péclerey, in Montroc, where ten years ago an avalanche has buried some chalets. According to the witness a skier was taken by the avalanche. Because of this suspicion of an existing victim, the rescue procedures were taken, but they had to be interrupted because of the avalanche risk. Yesterday evening, the PGHM refused to communicate on this subject. Instruction had been given to make any comments. And to let plane the doubt. According with some new information, Arva research and avalanche dogs search would have given anything. Research will start this morning. We also heard that one person was missing yesterday in Grands Montets. Le Dauphiné
