La Poya is the small lift area that comes out of Vallorcine and connects with Le Tour. Vallorcine has a warm, welcoming air to it and makes one feel like you are in a another planet. With its snack shop and cafe with sunny terrace, it makes for a great haven in the mountains. This area is perfect for all levels from beginner to extreme skiers. La Poya even had a cameo in the Nissan World Games film, Insomnia. The pistes have also had a face lift this year with Vallorcine's new grooming machine that can even climb up to the top of la Poya2. New pistes have also become accessible with this new machine making the area a true playground. With all the snow we have had, Vallorcine hopes to stay open later than past years. There is a snow park in the works that will be in place next winter. BBQ organized by the ESF Vallorcine every Friday at the Poya
