This Sunday, December 18, 2011 from 10am in "La Tour" (Chamonix), the French Ski Mountaineering (Sprint) Championships will be held. The top French skiers will all be here in Chamonix, vying for first place in this speciality ski event. The fight promises to be intense, as the best in the event will then qualify for the Pelvoux European Championships, in February. The "Sprint" test run is a very short course... about 80 feet of vertical drop, and takes less than 3 minutes. It should be a spectacular event, and one well worth seeing.
