Stéphane Brosse died at the Aiguille d'Argentière

Yesterday, June 17th 2012, Stéphane Brosse had a deadly fall in the Aiguille d'Argentière... Stephane Brosse and Kilian Jornet were attempting a new record on the crossing of Mont Blanc massif, from Contamines to Champex. Stephane Brosse fell after a rupture of a snow cornice at the Aiguille d'Argentiere. He fell 600m into the Barbet Couloir. He was there with Kilian Jornet, Sebastien Montaz and Bastien Fleury, who were eyewitnesses of the accident. The rescue came an hour later, but nothing could be done. Stephane Brose was one of the best ski mountaineers in the world. He had won races like the Pierra Menta and he also hols the record from Chamonix - Summit of Mont Blanc - Chamonix on skis.
