This weekend in Chamonix: the 45th "Mineral Market"

Starting this Saturday 4th August, the Richard Bozon Sports Centre in Chamonix will host the 45th "Bourse des Minéraux et des Fossiles". Opening hours are Saturday 9am to 7pm, and Sunday 9am to 6pm. The show will begin this Friday, August 3 at 8:30pm, with a lecture by the famous Jean-Claude Bouillard, curator of the "University Pierre et Marie Curie (UPCM)" mineral collection. Sixty exhibitors will be present, selling minerals from around the world, along with our very own "crystalliers" from Mont-Blanc and the Oisans. Apart from the commercial aspect, this annual mineral market is not only a real meeting place for passionate professionals, but a place where beginners can also come along & say hello, and find encouragement to start their own collections.
