Change of parking ticket procedure in Chamonix

In the last few days, a new system known as "procès verbal électronique" (electronic verbal warning) has come into force for all parking offenses in Chamonix. The municipal police are now equipped with 10 mobile devices to enforce the new scheme. For the moment, a warning notice will be left on the windscreen of the vehicle concerned to inform the owner that an offense has been noted. However, be aware that this warning is not mandatory and is only being done for the first few months as the new policy comes into effect.
