From Mon, 1st of September 2014 the Chamonix hospital suspends its limited A&E services until the winter. This is the usual interseason closure.
The A&E Services at Chamonix hospital provide first aid and primary care for minor 'walk-in' emergencies.
In the case of serious emergencies and accidents, victims are transported as standard procedure, directly to Sallanches hospital (380, Rue de l'Hôpital,74703 Sallanches) by ambulance or helicopter.
The A&E Services at Chamonix hospital, will reopen at the beginning of the winter season, most probably, Monday, 22 Dec 2014.
During this seasonal closure of Chamonix A&E, for emergencies, the Sallanches hospital is available 24/7.
