Ice Hockey: Chamonix - Briançon (3-5)

Wednesday, 19 Nov 2014, the Chamonix Chamois teamed up against Les Diables Rouges (the Red Devils) - Briançon Hockey Club on Richard Bozon ice rink.

After a series of straight wins in the Magnus League, the Chamois were defeated, final score 3-5, in a home match counting for the French Ice Hockey Cup.
Force and balance, these seemed to be the words to qualify the Chamoniarde evolution in this match. The Chamois began in force the first two thirds, final score by the end of the second third, 3-0.
Then something changed. May be the fatigue accumulated after the series of matches previously disputed by the Chamois, may be something else...we don't know.
A strong offensive initiated by the Devils led to a total of 5 points in less than 20 minutes, final score 3-5 by the end of the match.
Now that the dream of qualification in the Coupe de France is over, the Chamois will have to focus on the Magnus League, where they are currently in second position, at a difference of 5 points from the top team, Grenoble Wolf Burners (Bruleurs de Loups).

Good news for the Chamois

Great news from the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc (CMB): the partnership CMB - Chamonix Chamois hockey club, is reinforced with the creation of a mascot.

"Chamy", the brand new Chamoniarde mascot representing a chamois wearing a hockey jersey in the colors of Chamonix club, will be present right next to the Chamois, both in their home and away matches. Also, he will be on every poster, program, contest and in his own comic book, published in the Pulse Club Sports Chamonix magazine. Great news in store for the Chamois!

A very warm welcome to Chamy and Allez les Chamois!
