Mont-Blanc: six skiers injured and evacuated

Saturday 12 February 2022, the rescuers of the High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon (PGHM) carried out six rescue operations using the civil security helicopter.

 

The day started at 10:30 a.m. in the Vallée Blanche to take care of a man injured after a fall on skis.

According to Le Dauphiné, the victim was dropped off at the Chamonix hospital center. In the sequence on the Rognons glacier, a man suffered a rib trauma and was airlifted to Chamonix hospital.

Around 11:00 a.m., the intervention was more delicate. A 16-year-old boy fractured his femur in the snowpark of the Tour ski area. He was transported to Sallanches hospital. Then in the early afternoon around 2:00 p.m., the mountain rescue day continued under the Aiguille du Tricot. A man with back pain was treated at the Sallanches hospital center.

Around 2:10 p.m., return to the Vallée Blanche precisely at the end of the route, to evacuate a woman with ankle injury.

Finally the day ended with the care of a man who cut his thigh with his ski edge. The civil security helicopter evacuated him to Sallanches hospital.
