Chamonix is investing lots of time and energy in advancing public transportation to cut down on the number of vehicles going up and down the valley during the holidays. This eco friendly venture is making steady progress as 50% of skiers and boarders are now using public transportation.
The Mulet, a free shuttle bus around Chamonix town, runs from 8:30 to 18:30 and takes on hundreds of ski or shopping bound passengers per day. The Chamonix bus system is already free with ski pass but will now also be free with a parking stub from the Grepon Parking.
