As the weather predicted some heavy snowfall for the rest of the week, last Friday’s run would be the first and final run. French skier, Aurelien Ducroz, placed 3rd in Squaw Valley event and 2nd in the Sochi, Russia leg of the Freeride World Tour. With his success in these two events, he is now ranked first in the overall competition. Fellow Frenchman, Sebastian Michaud, has climbed up to 3rd place thanks to his 5th place ranking in Squaw Valley. For the next leg of the tour, the French are looking strong. There will be two more legs of the competition: Nissan Freeride (Tignes) and the Nissan Extreme (Verbier). These two events will be held in March around the 11th and the 21st, weather permitting.
