In Chamonix there's more than just skiing, there are many other sports and activities, as demonstrated by the "Club de sports de Chamonix", with the organization of a horse show this weekend at the "Désert Blanc", just behind the DZ of PGHM.
With approximately fifty affiliates, the horse riding section of the club organizes the twenty-first edition of the jumping show, which takes place over two days on 6th and 7th of June. Saturday is the high level competition with 30 competitors and a total prize of 1400 euros.
On Sunday it's the turn of the club competition with 260 participants from all the Haute Savoie. A record for the departments calendar and unprecedented for Chamonix.
For spectators there are refreshments, a beer tent from MBC, crepes, sandwiches and pony rides for children.
Tonight at 8pm in the Mairie d'Argentière there's a public meeting concerning the construction projet in the Arberons sector.
