Mont Blanc: one dead & 2 Gendarmes from PGHM injured

All happened when a party of four climbers from the Eastern countries was caught in bad weather, Saturday afternoon, near the summit of Mount Blanc. Two teams from the PGHM Chamonix have tried to rescue them, one leaving from the Tete Rousse Hut (3160m) and another one from the Gouter Hut (3820m), on the night from Saturday to Sunday. One of the climbers fell and died in the north face of the Mont Blanc. During the rescue operation to save her three companions towards the Goûter Hut, two policemen rescuers (PGHM) were taken by an avalanche on Sunday morning. They were taken to hospital in Sallanches and their life is not in danger. The rescue team from the PGHM, the 3 survivors and the dead body of the Russian or Ukrainian climber were brought down to Chamonix by helicopter on Sunday morning. Le Dauphiné
