The UTMB cancelled due a mudslide

The 2300 participants of the 2010 UMTB left Chamonix yesterday at 18h30. Like the other participants in Courmayeur, that did the CCC a few hours earlier, the departure was in the rain, but the atmosphere was warm, thanks to the spectators of the race armed with banners and flags supporting their father, mother, son or daughter racing the UTMB. The competitors were supposed to run the 166 km of the race, but the competition was finally stopped at the Col de la Seigne, shortly after Les Contamines Montjoie, due to a mudslide.
