Last Wednesday, the 27th of February 2019, there was new record attendance on the Aiguille du Midi cable car.
The Aiguille du Midi has always been a success and one of the must-see sites for everyone visiting Chamonix.
Even so, the numbers went higher ever since the February holiday started, and reached an average of 2300 people per day.
On Wednesday, February 27, 2019, a record was registered - 2700 people went up to the Aiguille du Midi site.
Because of such a high volume of tourists, the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc warns that they might not be able to offer all tourists a complete tour of the facilities.
Therefore, the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc advises customers to visit the Aiguille du Midi in the morning or early in the afternoon.
The CMB recommends visitors to get the cable car before 3 pm if they want to visit all spaces of the Aiguille du Midi site.
