A new competition mixing skicross and freeride is coming to the Chamonix Valley!
The first edition of Cross the Line is scheduled for the weekend of 23rd and 24th of March 2019, on the Flégère ski area.
The Big Mountain Office association, composed of professional mountaineers Aurélien Collet, Rudy Collet, Aurélien Lardy and Gaspard Piccot, organizes the first edition of the Cross the Line competition.
Initially scheduled for the 9th and 10th of March 2019, the Cross the Line competition was postponed, due to bad weather conditions, to the weekend of 23rd and 24th of March (Le Dauphine).
Cross the Line is an innovative mix between ski-cross and freeride. A challenging and versatile competition, it is open to everyone, regardless of their age.
The challenge is for both skiers and snowboarders.
Registration
Both juniors (14 to 18 years old) and seniors (>18 years old) need to pay 10 € per registration and meals are included in the registration fee.
The registration will close on the 20th of March, 2019, at 6 pm.
What to expect?
Local athletes from different disciplines will be there to make demonstrations, coach the participants and to do a SUPER FINAL with the winner of the championship.
Competitors and spectators can enjoy the music of Ludo Collet and DJ Djib.
The Chamoniarde will be on site to initiate and train participants in avalanche risks and prevention.
Excellent prizes will be offered to the winners. Furthermore, there will be many prizes to win at the raffle.
