Last Friday, on the 19th of April 2019, the CMB announced that the Bochard gondola would reopen on the second day, the 20th of April.
On the 15th of March, the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc announced the closure of the Bochard gondola for safety reasons.
For a month, the gondola underwent several support works to compensate for the thawing of the ground which threatened the stability of the structure.
