Several snowslides on the north face of the Aiguille du Midi were reported yesterday, the 27th of May 2019.
The snowslides blocked 26 people who were evolving on the route of Grands Mulets.
According to Le Dauphine, at the beginning of the afternoon of Monday, the 27th of May 2019, several snowslides on the north face of the Aiguille du Midi (3,842 m or 12,605 ft) were reported to the PGHM of Chamonix.
The PGHM of Chamonix promptly carried out a reconnaissance mission by helicopter, which yielded no results.
However, 26 people who were evolving on the route of Grands Mulets were blocked by these snowslides.
The 26 hikers were recovered by the PGHM with the civil security helicopter and transported to Plan de L'Aiguille.
