According to Le Dauphine, today, the 31st of May 2019, around 1 pm, a foreign mountaineer lost his life at Nid d'Aigle.
The man was climbing with two companions when he fell a hundred metres (328 ft) at the arrival station of the Nid d'Aigle, in the town of Saint-Gervais, in Haute-Savoie.
Preliminary investigations show that the group was not roped.
The other two climbers are unharmed and will be brought in for questioning this afternoon.
