On 16 April 2020, the Chamonix sports club has announced the postponement of the Mont-Blanc Marathon.
The 42nd edition of the already famous Mont-Blanc marathon was scheduled to take place from 25 to 28 June 2020.
However, due to the strict measures taken to limit the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19, the Mont-Blanc Marathon will be postponed.
President Emmanuel Macron has recently banned all rallies until mid-July 2020.
The new dates and terms of the Mont-Blanc Marathon will be announced within 14 days.
However, the postponement seems difficult to envisage, due to the congestion in September and October.
