This Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 March 2022, the co-founders of La Trace des Grands (TDG) Pascal Croz and Damien Sablon invite you to Les Grands Montets in the Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley.
Three themes for this edition: the quality of the ski trails, safety and the preservation of the natural environment.
The three races:
• TDG 65 (D+: 2040 m H&D): Individual Ski Mountaineering Race, the only race in France which offers an elevation gain of more than 2000 meters; More info here and Registration
• TDG 110 (D+: 720 m H&D): The Freerando after a great ascent, a downhill skiing with a few gates to cross, chronometrated race; More info here and Registration
• TDG Vertical (D+: 1295 m H&D): The Vertical Race or Discovery, a steep climb from the bottom station of Plan Joran to the plateau of Lognan. More info here and Registration
Throughout these two days, La Chamoniarde association will be present at Les Grands Montets to talk about mountain safety rules.
Event schedule:
Saturday 19 March: Workshops on how to use correctly an avalanche victim detector.
Sessions are open to everyone! A participation of 10 euros is requested.
Sunday 20 March: Learn about mountain risks in the form of an escape game. The athlete becomes more and more aware of the impact of man on nature.
In the evening, at Cinema Vox in Chamonix, athletes and mountain lovers can attend the screening of two films: "Conscience" and "Le Diamant des Alpes".
The earnings of the screenings will be donated to Protect our winter (POW) association.
