Tons of snow in Chamonix this week! There have been some big storms slamming Western Europe over the last few days, and Chamonix has been almost in the centre of the huge storm cycle. Friday night there was a lot of fresh snow in the mountains, but then on Sunday it snowed a lot everywhere - over half a metre in Chamonix town, it seems...
It has been mostly snow falling since Friday, except for Sunday night, when the rain-line temporarily went up to 2000m. Monday was quite mild, but it started dumping snow again in Chamonix town in the evening, with 5-10cm overnight in town, and 25-30cm at 2000m. Today (Tuesday) it was snowing all day!
