Suite à la formation d’une nouvelle coulée de boue dans le couloir des Nantets , la route d’accès au village du Tour est restée fermée ce mercredi 13 décembre et une partie de la journée de ce jeudi 14 décembre, même si une ouverture ponctuelle par alternat a néanmoins été rendue possible de 7 h 30 à 8 h 30.
La quarantaine de personnes habitant toute l’année au village du Tour attend en tout cas de pied ferme la fin du chantier de sécurisation, consistant notamment à installer un pont cadre temporaire. Des travaux qui ont pris un peu de retard avec les intempéries de ces derniers jours, mais qui devraient pouvoir se terminer mercredi 20 décembre.
La route pourra ensuite rouvrir dans toute sa largeur, mais en attendant, les services de la commune et les exploitants de domaines skiables ont choisi de ne pas ouvrir ce week-end la télécabine de Charamillon et le domaine de la Vormaine, comme cela était envisagé au départ.
On Wednesday 13 December 2023, there was another mudslide out of the Nantets couloir. This has blocked the access road to the village of Le Tour. The road was completely closed on 13 December and for part of the day on Thursday 14 December.
Work is on-going and the road is partially open with one of the two lanes. This is to allow movement for the permanent residents of the village of Le Tour.
The work, which was delayed due to bad weather, is to construct a temporary steel frame bridge over the Nantets stream which is carrying the mud and rock from the couloir above.
All being well, the work will be completed on Wednesday 20 December 2023. Both lanes of the the road will open and the Compagnie du Mont Blanc will be able to open the Charamillion lift and La Vormaine.
BALME IS NOT OPEN
The other access lift to La Balme, which climbs out of Vallorine is not open. Do not head to Vallorcine hoping to get access to La Bame. The telesiege out of Vallorcine is closed as are all lifts and other facilities in La Balme ski domain.
