After climbing the EMHM icefall with a friend, during the rappel descent, a 46 year old mountain guide was hit in the head by a block of ice dislodged by climbers from above. Despite a quick rescue by the PGHM, the Argentière UCPA guide remains in a coma in critical condition in the hospital in Grenoble.
