Two young Chamonix natives achieved a first descent on skis and snowboard this last February. Florent Gex (Tecrew) and Roch Malnuit skied and snowboarded a route on the south face of the Courtes which will now be named Ernest. Gex is a member of Tecrew, a group of young chamoniards who love the mountains and have many future projects to climb and ski in foreign mountains. They completed an expedition this summer in Bolivia and are aiming for Nepal next (and would be happy to hear from interested sponsors).
