André Manoukian organizes a Jazz Festival in Chamonix

André Manoukian organizes a new festival, original, never seen, where jazz artists meet the mountains of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. The first edition of Cosmojazz festival will take place from Tuesday 27 to Thursday, July 29 2010, with, among others, Yaron Herman, Portico Quartet, Trio Hadouk, Sunil Dev, Malcolm Braff, Minino Garay and Spok Frevo Orquestra. Three days, where visitors will have the chance to witness live jazz and panoramic views, in three different settings: in altitude, in the heart of the city and in the privacy of different bars where the parties promise to continue until dawn. Concerts in altitude During the day, public and musicians will be transported into the world of "High Mountain" for extraordinary performances. The sites were selected by the organizers for their unusual character because of their situation and their history. The artists and their instruments will incorporate them as naturally as possible, in a spirit of harmony between the sounds, melodies, rhythms and elements that surround them. Free Concerts All concerts are free, but access to the site using the ski lifts is paid. All info can be found on the festival website www.cosmojazzfestival.com. For each concert in altitude, a solution of "bad weather" will be considered. The alternative locations will be communicated via the festival website. www.cosmojazzfestival.com
