The closing show of the Chamonix Mountain Guides Festival, on Sunday night, was canceled due to the persistence of bad weather on the Mont Blanc Valley. According to Eric Favret, President of the Chamonix Guides Company: "The rock wall of the Gaillands would be to wet and there is no need of taking unnecessary risks". Chamonix Mountain Guides Party: an agreement with the Ski Instructors of the Chamonix Valley Éric Favret, President of the Chamonix Guides Company, was very excited, yesterday morning, during the Chamonix Church Ceremony: "It's with great emotion that I am pleased to announce a birth". With Bernard Accoyer (President of the National Assembly) and Eric Woerth (Minister of Labour) as sponsors, Éric Favret announced the union of the Chamonix Guides Company with the French Ski Schools of the Chamonix Valley (Argentiere, Les Houches and Chamonix). A 'baby' that will be called “Mont-Blanc ski et guides compagnie” The objective is to offer a complete and serious service on all kind of mountain activities, 740 professionals at your disposal.
