The ski lifts contract/concession between the Compagnie du Mont Blanc and Chamonix ends in 2018. Meanwhile the municipality has launched an audit to this public service agreement. The community wants, and thinks about, new investments over the medium and long term, while the Compagnie du Mont Blanc has already finalized its draft for the next 8 years. For the Chamonix Mairie, the current audit must provide conclusions about the near future, but also in the long term, specially in what concerns the renewal of the concession in 2018. After the difficulties and disagreements this last fall on the prices of ski passes, the municipality also intends to have a voice in the forfait prices. The audit must therefore allow a clear overview: on prices and investments. The audit was launched in a few months ago. In May 2011, we'll have a first report of this audit. Radio Mont Blanc
