On Friday morning around 8:00-8:30am in Les Bossons, a car ran into the bridge over the Arve at full speed. 6 people were on board the Peugeot 106. The accident was serious: the driver, a 40 year old man, was killed. Among the passengers, aged 18 to 25 years, 3 were seriously injured and were evacuated by helicopter to Geneva and Annecy. Two of them are thought to still be in a critical condition. The other passengers were also injured and were taken to hospital in Sallanches. The circumstances of the accident are still unknown. It is however known that the 4 passengers in the back were not wearing seat-belts. The road D243 between Les Bossons and Les Gaillands was closed to traffic all morning. Radio Mont Blanc
