Around 2500 trees have now been felled over a 55 hectare plot above the Grepon area, Next, a cable-hoist system will be installed up to the Blaitière pastures, to allow the new timber to be brought down. After this work is finished, one of the cables will be left to serve the pastures & forest above. Once installed, the hoist will allow hay and other supplies to be brought up to the mountain pastures operated by Pascal Payot, and in return, regular supplies of cream cheese will be sent down...! The installation has apparently been designed to integrate perfectly with the landscape. This cable hoist up to the Blaitière pastures will be built in the coming weeks, with the first cable being used to haul the wood.
