Grandes Jorasses: 1st Wingsuit Flight

First Descent from the Grandes Jorases: a Wingsuit flight from a Base Jump launch off the summit of the Walker Spur, on the north face of Les Grandes Jorasses, in the Mont-Blanc massif by Pierre Fivel and François Gouy.

Thursday, 26 June 2014, François Gouy (Grenoble) and Peter Fivel (Haute-Savoie), made for the fist time in the history of wingsuit and base jumping, a 2000 meters jump from the Walker spur (4208 m).

A jump made "old fashion", that means jumping with all the equipment used to climb, without helicopters or support team. This is a first in base-jumping: a remarkable jump that wingsuit and base jumping enthusiasts long craved for. A 2 minutes and 2000 metres flight from the Walker Point on the north face of Grandes Jorasses.

Good job, guys!
