The Mont Blanc Express - a magical experience in the Alps

The Mont Blanc Express runs between Le Fayet (Municipality of Saint Gervais), through the Chamonix Valley, and down to the Rhone valley where it terminates at Martigny in the canton of Valais, Switzerland.

The train passes along the west side of the Mont Blanc Massif and takes the traveller on a spectacular journey with many interesting points to stop and explore, such as the Emosson Dam. The terminal, Martigny is an ancient Roman city with an original stadium and the new Gianadda Museum.

The Mont Blanc Express is considered one of the most beautiful rail journeys in the Alps.

If you're staying in the Chamonix valley, a journey on the Mont Blanc Express, is free with a Carte d'Hote. This card gives free access to the Chamonix Valley public transport network, only between Servoz and Vallorcine.

The Carte d'Hôte/Guest Card is given to you free of charge by your accommodation provider on your arrival. Don't hesitate to ask for it!
