The reopening to public of the new Bar des Glaciers is scheduled on Saturday 1st July 2017.
So, from this weekend, tourists and hikers will be able to stop at Bar des Glaciers, located at the arrival station of the Montenvers train. Here you can have a snack break prepared with fresh ingredients proposed at any time of day.
Completely renovated, made of rough and natural materials such as granite and wood, The Bar des Glaciers is getting a makeover echoing the natural environment just steps from the Montenvers train station.
A large granite countertop replicates the rocky peaks, touches of ice blue call to mind the glacier, antique photographs of the Montenvers dot the walls in contemporary style. It’s a stop not to be missed before boarding the famous red funicular Train du Montenvers!
The Montenvers Mer de Glace Train runs every day, from 10 p.m. to 4 p.m. More info about the timetable here

Whether you want to cool off after the visit of the Montenvers site or for a boost of strength after a long hike... a stop at the Bar des Glaciers is a must before returning to Chamonix!
