Wednesday 27 June 2018 an Englishman of about 60 years old fell to his death at the Brévent area in the Vertical Km path.
According to Le Dauphine, the accident occurred in the Planpraz sector, pylon number 11, in the upper part of the path of the Chamonix Vertical Km.
On his way down to the valley, the man probably slipped, fell a few meters and crashed into a tree. The violence of the shock was fatal.
The Chamonix High Mountain Rescue Team (PGHM), once they arrived at the spot of the accident confirmed the death of the man.
