A lifting operation of the pylons of the Flégère cable car will take place today, the 12th of August 2019.
The operation will be carried out with a Kamov helicopter and will require twenty rotations, plus five rotations towards the DZ of Argentière for the refuelling of the aircraft.
The Compagnie du Mont-Blanc and its service provider aim to finish this operation in the morning.
They will obviously try their best to limit the noise disturbance.
"This operation is essential to the realization of the infrastructure that must be functional for the next winter season", says the town hall of Chamonix.
As a reminder, the Flégère cable car will be replaced by a state-of-the-art gondola, which will offer more comfort to the passengers and will allow for higher flow.
