The men's France team will present itself in Budapest (Hungary) next month with a rejuvenated team, as the average age of the players is only 23.
According to Radio Mont Blanc, five hockey players from the Pioneers of Chamonix team were selected for France team.
Fabien Kazarine and Malo Ville will play in the starting lineup, while Jérémie Penz, Clément Mermoux and Loïc Coulaud will be bench players.
The selection was done by Philippe Bozon, who took over from Dave Henderson as head coach of the national team in 2018.
Born in Chamonix in 1966, Philippe Bozon is a former professional ice hockey player who played for the St. Louis Blues in the National Hockey League between the 1991-92 and 1994-95 seasons and is the first of only five French-trained players to appear in the NHL.
Besides the five Pioneers, Philippe Bozon has chosen four players from Rouen.
The Six Nations Tournament will take place in Budapest from December 10 to 15.
France will meet Japan on December 11, 2019, and Hungary on December 12, 2019.
Depending on their ranking, the Tricolores will play Saturday, December 14, 2019, the big or small final, or even the ranking match in case of defeats in this tournament.
