Ski Season: Partial Opening from 14 December 2019

In their press release from 12 December 2019, the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc has announced which ski domains are to open on the weekend of 14 & 15 December 2019 and the expected opening date of the others.

The ski areas that will open:

Grands Montets area:

Lifts: Plan Joran gondola, Bochard gondola, Tabé chairlift, Herse chairlift;
Slopes: Bochard Haut, Buchard Bas, Marmottons, Coqs, Liaison Plan Joran, Tabé, Pradian, Combes. Pierre à Ric in preparation.

Brévent area:

Lifts: Planpraz gondola, Cornu chairlift, Parsa chairlift, 2000 ski lift, Funi 2000, Sources chairlift, Charlanon chairlift, Liaison cable car, Savoy carpet (Depends on snow conditions). Brévent cable car (opening scheduled on 21st December 2019).
Slopes: Retour Verte Planpraz verte, Verte 2000, Combe des Vioz, Col Cornu, Stade.

Flégère area:

Lifts: Flégère gondola, Index chairlift, Trappe chairlift, Evettes chairlift, Liaison cable car.

Slopes: Pylônes, Evettes, Trappes, Libellules.

Balme area:

Area Charamillon:

Lifts: Charamillon gondola, Les Autannes chairlift, Plan des Reines ski lift, Arve ski lift.
Slopes: Liaison Balme, Arve, Col, Stade, Stade ESF, Ecuries, Solonges, Béchat, Alpages, Retour Charamillon. Les Caisets (in preparation).

Vallorcine area:

Opening info on Saturday 21st December 2019.

Les Houches area:

Lifts: Prarion gondola, Mélèzes chairlift, Ecole ski lift, Voza/Prarion chairlift.
Blue slopes: Abbaye, La Cha, Tétras, Chamois, Les Aillouds.
Green slopes: Beginner area.

Megève area:

The mains gates will be: Chamois gondola (Village centre), Rochebrune cable car, Mont d'Arbois gondola, Princesse gondola (free carpark of 900 parking spaces).

Aiguille du Midi:

Given the recent weather conditions and strong winds in high altitude, ongoing maintenance work on the Aiguille du Midi are running a bit late. The opening of the aiguille du Midi is therefore delayed.

Opening scheduled for next week, on 21 & 22 December.

Montenvers:

Open every day (opening of gondola & ice cave scheduled on 21st December 2019).

Tramway du Mont-Blanc:
