On 29 January 2020, at 11.30 am, six skiers were involved in an avalanche on the eastern slope of the Prarion, at Les Houches ski resort.
One of the six skiers was buried in snow and, thanks to his Avalanche Victim Detector (DVA), was soon found & rescued.
However, the skier was severely injured, thus was quickly evacuated to the Sallanches hospital centre and then transferred to Annecy.
