After a few springlike days at the end of February 2020, winter is back in the Chamonix Valley.
Therefore, the Col des Montets (elevation 1,461 m or 4,793 ft) will be closed on Thursday, 27 February 2020, as the heavy snow will not ensure the required safety conditions (Le Dauphine).
According to Chamonix.com, the closure of Col des Montets will start on 27 February 2020, from 12.30 pm.
