The entire Chamonix valley is happy to announce the dates of the deconfinement for this summer 2021. The dates of the reopening of our most emblematic touristic sites, such as the Aiguille du Midi cable car and the Montenvers train, but also all shops, restaurants, museums and other cultural places.
Here you can find the most important dates:
The Aiguille du Midi cable car, 3842m
The Aiguille du Midi cable car and the "Pas dans le vide" will open from wednesday May 19th 2021
Enjoy the high mountain views and ambiance onluy 20 mins from Chamonix!
The Train du Montenvers and Mer de Glace
This emblematic train, which allows you to reach the Mer de Glace at an altitude of 1913m, will operate again fromSaturday, May 29th in the morning.
Health safety protocol have been put in place.
Other ski and mountains lifts (Brévent, Flégère, Les Houches, etc)
The other Chamonix mountain lifts and gondolas will also open their doors in June 2021 (Check here the dates).
Restaurants, Bars, Shops and Cultural places
On May 19th, shops, bars, restaurants, markets will start re-opening.
Cultural places will also start re-openeing progressivly from May 19th.
And from July 12th 2021, come to Chamonix and enjoy some FREE activities.
From July 12th to August 27th, Chamonix offers you more than 30 free activities. They are waiting for you and all visitors staying in the Valley!
