On Sunday 20 March 2022, the rescuers of the High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon (PGHM) carried out four rescue operations.
On Sunday morning, the PGHM recovered a mountaineer victim of a rock fall in the Chéré Couloir at Triangle of Mont Blanc du Tacul (3970m). The man was dropped off at the helicopter base.
Later, a skier fell on the Grands Montets ski area. Victim of a head trauma, he was transported to Sallanches hospital.
In the afternoon, in Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce, a skier was seriously injured and was also evacuated to Sallanches hospital.
The day ended at Mont Lachat, above Les Houches. A steep skier who fell and seriously injured himself was transported to the Center Hospitalier Alpes Léman in Contamine-sur-Arve.
