The ultra-trail, ski mountaineering and "sky-running" champion has again set a new record.
The Spaniard Kilian Jornet has just made the crossing from Courmayeur to Chamonix via Mont Blanc's "l’Arête de l’Innominata", in 8 hours, 42 minutes and 57 seconds. An incredible feat as part of his "Summits of My Life" project, and unimaginable for both us mere mortals, and most of the climbers on the planet!
Leaving Courmayeur at 03:53hrs yesterday morning, his route passed via the "Val Veni", the "Innominata Arête", the summit of Mont Blanc, the "Refuge du Goûter", Les Houches, then finally Chamonix... less than 9 hours later.
What did you do this morning??
