Grands Montets This weekend (Dec 13-14) the Grands Montets will expand its lift offerings from Lognan, Bochard, Marmottons, and Tabé to include the Plan Joran chair and the top cable car up the Grands Montets. The Herse is scheduled to open on Monday. Yesterday's snow depths were as follows: Argentière = 50cm Lognan (Grands Montets midstation) = 105 cm Bochard = 155cm top of the Grands Montets = 200cm La Balme /Le Tour This weekend is the opening of Le Tour with the Charamillon gondola, the Autannes chairlift, and 2 drag lifts. L'Aiguille du Midi The Aiguille du Midi re-opens on the 13th of December except for an exercise on Monday the 15th. Les Houches Les Houches will host the FIS Telemark WorldCup this weekend. In addition to the other lifts already running, the Prarion is supposed to open this weekend. Savoy Free skiing anyone? If you are a beginner, you'll want to head down to the Savoy drag lift near the centre of Chamonix to take advantage of the Compagnie du Mont Blanc's decision to open the Savoy lift free of charge this weekend.
