Next Saturday morning, in the Brevent ski resort (The Hotel Face), all the 'lovers' of the Freeride will have the opportunity to see the best Freeriders of the World. They will all be in Chamonix for this stage of the FREERIDE WORLD TOUR. How does this work???? How to chose their line??? Once the skiers know exactly where the competition will take place, the face is closed to them. They can watch it from the bottom with binoculars or with photographies. They will chose the perfect line. Only two obligatory points... the depart and the finish line. Then they are free to ski wherever they want. The jury, observing the competition from the bottom of the face, five criteria are involved in evaluating the competitors: fluidity, control, aggression, the chosen line and the technique. But for all competitors who will be present in Chamonix this weekend, one thing is certain: a good knowledge of the mountain is a good 'ace' for a good freerider! Aurelien Ducroz, Candide Thovex and many other will be there next Saturday to give the best of the Chamonix mountains. The Program Friday: Lots of Events in Chamonix (how to use your transceiver, the ABS bag, fun games, autographs sessions, films in big screens...), recognition of the face (from the bottom), music concerts. Saturday: 9h to 12h, competition at the Brévent (spectators can use directly the Planpraz cabin); 12h30, awards ceremony at the finish line of the competition, at the Brévent ; 15h to 17h events in Chamonix town.
