The Choralpines begin tonight at Argentiere

It's the male chorus “Chantres d’Ain” that will open the show, or rather the Choralpines festival, tonight at 21 pm. They will perform traditional French tunes but also more contemporary works. Until Monday, solo singers and groups will succeed in the church of Argentiere to raise funds for two organizations based in India. Saturday evening, two concerts are planned: - the Bolivian Machaqa group at 18h, - then the Basque singer Anne Etchegoyen to 21h Sunday, it's a trip to Ireland and Britain with the Celtic group Ewen at 18h, and then the Italian choir from Aosta, Penne Nere. On Monday, Let Hit Be will sing the greatest hits of The Beatles, followed by the Basque singer David Olaizola at 21h, that will close the 2010 edition of the Choralpines. Le Dauphiné
