After the July 5th, works have started at 3.835 high in the Gouter Hut (Normal way to Mont Blanc). The work conists in doing the new platform for the New Goûter Hut, that will be located 200 meters away from the old hut. By the winter, the foundation works should have been done. In summer 2012, the new hut will be ready to welcome 120 persons. The hut will have 4 levels and will be autonomous in energy. The objective is to welcome more comfortably the climmbers that go to Mont Blanc. The amount of construction is 6.5 million euros. The annex of the old Gouter hut will still be used as winter hut or in case of an accident. Radio Mont Blanc
