After the cancellation of the race Friday night at 21:20h, due to heavy rains and a mudslide, the 2300 competitors of the UTMB 2010 were brought back to Chamonix during the night. A huge disappointment for all these runners, which for the most part of them, prepare for this event for over a year. At dawn, they were offered an alternatives race, start in Courmayeur and follow the same itinerary as the CCC (Courmayeur - Champex - Chamonix), but for only 1,500 of them. Of the 1500 runners, we could found the UTMB runners, but also the TDS runners too (the Trail of the Dukes of Savoy), race itself canceled the day before.
