Sunday starts the 1st edition of the "Tor des Geants"

Tomorrow, Sunday at 10 am, will start at Courmayeur, the first edition of "Tor des Giants", one of the longest trails in the world with a distance of 330 km, a climb of 24,000 meters, 34 municipalities traversed, 25 cols over 2000 m, 30 alpine lakes, two nature parks. 43 assistance points were installed for this event for an incredible week. More than 600 volunteers including doctors and nurses will take part on this adventure. A race of giants, they are 346 registered athletes, and they will complete the course within a maximum of 150 hours, which means they will ultimately be returned to Courmayeur by 18.00h next Saturday, September 16th. 17 nations will be present: 178 Italians, 81 French, 26 Spaniards, 21 Belgians, 12 Swiss, 9 Americans, 8 Canadians, six Germans and five Japanese. As a joke, a normal person would walk 20 days for the "Tor des Giant! Le Dauphiné
