On the night of Sunday to Monday, a truck carrying 62 calves to Venice, registered in Ireland, was reversed in the Italian side of the tunnel of Mont Blanc (the 1st turn immediate after the exit). This accident, which occurred at 23:25h, resulted in the closure of the Tunnel du Mont Blanc until 01:45h. The time needed to evacuate the damaged vehicle and animals.
